I’ll admit that I didn’t much think about the Curiosity rover before tonight. I had edited a story about it when something went wonky, but really, I just thought, “Cool.”

But when I saw the photos of Mars tonight, and the excitement that spread through NASA, it really overwhelmed me. 

We. Are. On. Mars. We have made something that can actively explore the next frontier of our universe.
